1st Time RTTC Pick - Manny Machado

It is kind of surprising it has taken him this long to get picked, although the O's have a couple of other good options in Davis and Jones..MM gets lost in the shuffle with the young great players (Trout, Harper, etc), but he may be the best of the bunch when it is all said and done..He is only 20 years old..he is on pace to break the doubles record of 67..he already has 33 this year..He is 6th in the AL batting .324...Biederstedt is the lone Machado supporter this week..

STUD OF THE WEEK - Ryan Sliffe

Big week for Sliffe as he was the only one to pick Carlos Gonzalez who went 10/21, 3HR, 8RBI (21pts)...Sliffe has struggled most of the season, but has had 2 weeks that have kept him alive...This is his 2nd SOTW...His 2 SOTW picks have gone .446, 6HR, 18RBI and a 1.4 WAR..his 9 non-stud weeks have gone .190, 7HR, 27RBI and a -.2 WAR...Sliffe goes big or goes home, but whatever works....he is now in 2nd place in the $$ list...Congrats on the rare $100 SOTW!

It was a battle of the Rockies studs this week and Tulo won out, as he finished with 24 pts (12/28, 4HR, 8RBI)  This is the 3rd SOTW for Willie in the last 7 weeks, who extends his $$ lead...He is also 1st in BA at .356..3 more weeks til Willie gets his 1st All-Star appearance(unless his average just tanks)  Hodges gets his 2nd SOTW, and is in great shape, as he is in the top 10, in all categories...The rookie of the year candidiate, Kramer, gets his 2nd SOTW, and is tied for the HR lead with 17, and is only 3 back from the RBI lead...Schmidtmeyer gets his first SOTW and is also in very good shape in HRs and RBIs..(top 6 in both)  Congrats to all 4 in splitting the Hundy..
